NEW! Federal Tax Credit Coming in 2027

It won't cost you a penny

AND it will change lives!

Direct your individual $1,700 Federal Tax Credit to Tri-County Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships to financially disadvantaged New Jersey children.

Let's Make this Happen for New Jersey Children

You can help the NJ governor to “opt-in” our state for the federal scholarship tax credit by signing this “intention to participate”

WHAT?

It's simple and costs you nothing.

The tax credit allows every federal tax payer to re-direct $1,700 of their annual payment to the IRS and instead donate it to the scholarship granting organization (SGO) of their choice. These donated funds will go toward scholarships for financially needy students so they may afford to attend safe, independent schools of their family’s choice.

Why Designate Tri-County

as your preferred SGO

Serving Children

Who Need It Most

Your tax credit gift will go to the students who need the help most.  With TCSF’s longstanding mission to help financially vulnerable New Jersey children receive a safe, quality education, your tax credit gift will make an important difference for a child in need. Your tax credit will support scholarships for the children who would not otherwise be able to access these educational opportunities.

TCSF can direct restricted donations to the accredited school of your choice. We currently provide need-based scholarships to hundreds of K-12th grade students at 61 partner schools.  We are happy to add other accredited schools at your request.

Knowledgable and

Responsive

You can count on TCSF to administer and properly recognize your gift for your own record-keeping purposes. TCSF was in the early group to endorse the federal tax credit legislation, even before its passage into law. We understand the bill’s provisions and know how to implement your giving wishes using this tax credit.

Proven 45 Year

Track Record

TCSF has provided over 39,000 scholarships totaling more than $41million  to financially disadvantaged students since our founding founding in 1981.

IT MATTERS

While it will cost you NOTHING to make this gift each year, your $1,700 (or $3,400!) will allow one more low-income child to receive a quality education, at a safe, independent school. Your annual tax credit gift will have transformational impact.

Your designation will change their futures

WHY?

Why the tax credit matters:

Effective in 2027, the new federal scholarship tax credit “grows the pie” of educational opportunity in every state where the state’s governor “opts into” the program.

Without taking from the public school system in any way, the federal tax credit allows more money to be spent on education in that state. It allows more low-income and inner-city children to access the same educational opportunities as other, children who live in more economically stable zip codes.
