Student Eligibility

Financial Need:

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial need. Families must fill out an application by the February 15th deadline through the FACTS application system to demonstrate need.

Geography:

The student must reside within either Morris, Passaic or Sussex counties of New Jersey, OR the school they plan to attend  must be located in one of these counties.

School:

Students must apply to an accredited Tri-County partner school in addition to the application for a Tri-County Scholarship. Our list of current partner schools can be found here. If there is a school in our geographical area that you would like to attend that you do not see on our list, please contact us.

Priority:

Students must re-apply for a scholarship each year.  Priority is given to existing Tri-County scholarship recipients as long as they show continued financial need. Prior year recipients must apply with their updated financial information by the February 15 deadline.

Typical Financial Profile:

A typical scholarship recipient comes from a single parent household with multiple children and an average income of $34,500 per year.

Annual Application Deadline is February 15th:

ALL students seeking a scholarship for the coming school year, both existing and new scholarship applicants must submit their financial information by February 15.

Take note to apply way ahead of the deadline date as it takes FACTS 2 weeks to upload the information into their system. By February 15th, ALL documents must be received and completed so that Tri-County can make their decisions.

Award Notification:

Award notifications will be sent via email and will require families to log into their FACTS account to view their scholarship.

At the request of many schools, denial notifications will not be sent out.
