Toast for a Cause NYC 2012 Recap

July 17, 2012

Over 175 young adults attended the second annual Toast for a Cause in New York City on Friday, May 11, 2012.

Sponsored by the New Jersey Tri-County Scholarship Fund Young Professionals group and held at Studio 450 in Manhattan, the event raised over $16,000 through ticket sales and a 50/50 raffle. Attendees enjoyed the outdoor rooftop garden with spectacular skyline views, a top shelf open bar, endless gourmet appetizers and music and lighting by DJ Sean Antoniello of DTM Productions. Tri-County Scholarship Fund Alumni Mario Sencion, college grad, former semi-pro baseball player, charter school teacher and motivational speaker, gave a moving speech about the transforming power of a quality education.

Recipients of the scholarship fund are New Jersey inner city children in need of financial aid to attend private K-12 schools for a better education. This past year 100% of the fund’s seniors graduated from high school and 98% of that group went straight to college. For more information on how to get involved email or call 973 984-9600.

Help give a child the gift of an education.

With your donation, students are given need-based scholarships to attend elementary and high schools where they are virtually guaranteed to graduate and then go on to college. You can make a transformative difference in their lives by contributing to the Tri-County Scholarship Fund. None of us can do everything but each of us can do something.
