Friends of Tri-County Host the Second Annual "Toast for a Cause"

On April 29, 2010, over one hundred young professionals and other friends gathered together at the Dolce Hotel and Conference Center in Basking Ridge for the Friends of Tri-County’s second annual Toast for a Cause.

Guests were treated to an open bar and an array of delicious hors d'oeuvres during the course of the evening. Highlights of the night included two presentations by Tri-County alumni: Nicole Stalter and Ronniel Mercado. Both former Tri-County scholars spoke of the difference that a TCSF scholarship made during their high school years; smaller classrooms with strong teacher-student relationships really do make a difference. Both young women have also gone on to successful careers; Nicole received her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Forensics and Ronniel is now a doctor.

The night also included a silent auction and numerous baskets that were raffled off. The night provided all in attendance with a wonderful opportunity to interact and socialize with young professionals (and the young at heart) who are actively seeking to make a difference in the world. Said Trevor Jones, who emceed the event: "The passion and energy of the young professionals involved with Friends of Tri-County radiated throughout the room and the stories of past recipients’ successes truly demonstrated the amazing difference that this organization makes in the lives of so many."
