2015 Thanks(for)Giving Recap
Tri-County Scholarship Fund (TCSF) held our Young Professionals “Thanks(for)Giving” event at the Hanover Marriott on the Friday after Thanksgiving. It raised almost $6,000. You can see from the photos what a great night it was. TCSF trustees attended and share their impressions with you below.
Tim Duffy: “I was so impressed and encouraged by the sincere commitment and enthusiasm that these Young Professionals have to and for our mission and the importance of adopting a cause that each can make his or her own. I wish when I was their age I GOT IT the way that they get it! The buzz and spark in that room were so very uplifting.”
Rick Diana: “I was impressed by the display of servant leadership in the room. Kudos to Trevor and his dedicated team, the scholarship recipients Nick and Daisy, and to all the young professionals. Despite a busy weekend for all, it was obvious to me that everyone made it a priority to support this worthwhile Thanks(for)Giving event.”
Prudence Pigott: “Fun night with great attendance – lots of dynamic young professionals mainly in their 20’s and early 30’s. My husband and I went with our grown kids and their 20-something friends who were in town for Thanksgiving. They all commented on it being a great time – nice location with a great vibe, good food, wine, and new people to meet. They were blown away by the two Tri County Scholarship speakers – so impressive and inspiring. Our kids and their friends said the event was a fun and worthwhile way to spend the Friday night after Thanksgiving. Kudos to the Thanks(for)Giving chairs and their team for a terrific event. Looking forward to next year!”
Trevor Jones: “This was the 10th Young Professionals event that I have helped host and this was my favorite one yet. I say this not because of the number of people or money raised, but because the story of Tri County was told clearly and the audience that was there was engaged in hearing about the work that we do. The student speakers brought the house down and moved many hearts, as did the recognition of each of their mothers after they spoke. It was a quality event with quality people, for the greatest cause. Thanks for all of the support from my fellow Trustees!
